Temple Joins Hospital Association of Pennsylvania's Donate Life Hospital Campaign

More than 117,000 people in the United States are waiting for a life-saving organ transplant – more than 8,000 of those from Pennsylvania – and every 10 minutes another person is added to the national waiting list. Each day, 18 people die because not enough organs are available for transplantation. Hundreds of thousands of others whose lives would benefit from the gift of tissue and eye donations continue to wait and hope.

Temple University Hospital can help you give the gift of life. Recently, Temple joined the Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania's Donate Life Hospital Campaign as a Hospital Partner to work with organ donation organizations, state associations in the healthcare sector and hospitals statewide to increase the number of registered organ, eye and tissue donors by May 14, 2014.

Don't miss your opportunity to be involved. Signing up to be an organ and tissue donor only takes 30 seconds, but each donor has the potential to save up to 8 lives and heal more than 50 people. Join the 4.4 million people in Pennsylvania who have already said "yes" to organ and tissue donation by adding the donor designation to your driver's license, learner's permit or state identification card.
